  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
  • 3 cloves fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 tbsp fresh ginger, grated
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 1/4 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (for thickening)
  • Sliced green onions (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Trim excess fat from chicken breasts and pat them dry.
  2. In a small bowl, combine minced garlic and grated ginger.
  3. In another bowl, whisk together soy sauce, brown sugar, rice vinegar, and sesame oil until smooth.
  4. Place chicken in the crockpot and pour the aromatic sauce over it.
  5. Cover and cook on low for 6-7 hours or high for 3-4 hours.
  6. About 30 minutes before serving, stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
  7. Garnish with sliced green onions before serving.
