  • 2 cups powdered sugar, sifted
  • 2 tbsp milk

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and line baking sheets with parchment paper.
  2. In a bowl, whisk together flour, cocoa powder, baking soda, and salt.
  3. In another bowl, cream softened butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each.
  4. Mix in red food coloring and vanilla extract until evenly blended.
  5. Gradually incorporate dry ingredients into the wet mixture until just combined.
  6. Scoop rounded balls of dough onto prepared sheets about two inches apart. Bake for 10-12 minutes or until edges are set but centers remain soft.
  7. For the icing, beat cream cheese with powdered sugar and milk until smooth.
  8. Once cookies are completely cool, generously drizzle or spread icing on top.
