  • 6 cups day-old French or sourdough bread, cubed
  • 8 large eggs
  • 2 cups whole milk
  • 2 cups shredded Swiss cheese
  • 1 cup diced cooked ham
  • 1 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Grease a 9×13 inch baking dish with butter or nonstick spray.
  2. Layer half the bread cubes in the dish, followed by half the ham and half the cheese.
  3. In a bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, Dijon mustard, salt, and pepper until smooth.
  4. Pour the custard mixture over the layered ingredients and press down gently to ensure soaking.
