  • 1 lb lean ground beef
  • 1 (28 oz) can crushed tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion, finely chopped
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 medium carrot, grated
  • 2 stalks celery, finely diced
  • 2 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 12 oz spaghetti or preferred pasta
  • ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

  1. Set your Instant Pot to 'Sauté' mode. Add olive oil and chopped onions; cook until translucent.
  2. Stir in grated carrots and diced celery; sauté until softened.
  3. Add ground beef; cook until browned, breaking it into pieces.
  4. Mix in minced garlic for about 30 seconds, then add crushed tomatoes and Italian seasoning.
  5. Secure the lid and set to high pressure for 10 minutes.
  6. After cooking, allow natural pressure release for 5 minutes before switching to quick release.
  7. Stir well before serving over al dente pasta, topped with freshly grated Parmesan cheese.
