  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/4 tsp salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×13 inch baking pan.
  2. Cream together softened butter and sugar until fluffy.

  4. Press two-thirds of the dough into the bottom of the pan and bake for 15 minutes.
  5. While crust is baking, combine cherries, sugar, and vanilla in a bowl.
  6. Spread cherry mixture over the baked crust and crumble remaining dough on top.
  7. Bake for an additional 25-30 minutes until golden brown and bubbly.
