  • ½ cup sugar
  • ½ cup unsalted butter (softened)
  • 3 large eggs
  • 2 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 3 Granny Smith apples (peeled and chopped)
  • Powdered sugar (for dusting)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine warm milk and sugar; sprinkle yeast on top and let sit until bubbly.
  2. In another bowl, mix flour and salt; add softened butter and eggs. Gradually incorporate the yeast mixture to form a soft dough.
  3. Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until smooth.
  4. Place in a greased bowl, cover, and let rise in a warm spot for about 1 hour until doubled.
  5. Prepare the filling by mixing chopped apples with sugar and cinnamon.
  6. Roll out the risen dough into a rectangle, spread with butter, then layer the apple mixture.
  7. Roll tightly into a log, slice lengthwise, twist the halves together, and place in a greased loaf pan.
  8. Bake at 350°F (175°C) for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
