  • 4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts (about 1.5 lbs)
  • 6 fresh scallions, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup low-sodium soy sauce
  • 2 tbsp honey
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tbsp cornstarch
  • Red pepper flakes (optional)

Instructions

  1. In a bowl, combine soy sauce, honey, garlic, sesame oil, and cornstarch. Add chicken breasts and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  2. While the chicken marinates, chop scallions into bite-sized pieces.
  3. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Remove chicken from marinade (reserve the marinade) and pat dry. Season with salt and pepper. Sear for 6-7 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through.
  4. Pour reserved marinade into the skillet over the chicken. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until thickened.
  5. Toss in chopped scallions during the last minute of cooking.
  6. Plate with steamed rice or noodles and drizzle remaining sauce over the top.
