  • 1 lb ground chicken
  • 1 cup Italian-style breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup marinara sauce (plus more for topping)
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp onion powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tbsp olive oil (optional for searing)

Instructions

  1. Gather and pre-measure all ingredients for easy assembly.
  2. In a large bowl, mix ground chicken, breadcrumbs, egg, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, pepper, parsley, and Parmesan until combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into golf ball-sized meatballs and set aside.
  4. (Optional) Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear meatballs until golden brown on all sides.
  5. Pour half of the marinara sauce into the slow cooker. Place meatballs on top and cover with remaining sauce.
  6. Cook on low for 4–6 hours until meatballs reach an internal temperature of 165°F (75°C).
  7. About 15 minutes before serving, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top and cover until melted.
