- 2 tsp ground cumin
- 10 corn tortillas
- 1 cup shredded Monterey Jack cheese
- ½ cup vegetable oil (for frying)
- ½ cup sour cream
- ½ cup salsa (mild or spicy)
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Boil chicken breasts in salted water with garlic until tender (15-20 minutes). Shred the chicken.
- In a skillet, heat oil over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add shredded chicken, cumin, and cheese to the skillet; stir until well combined and heated through.
- Warm corn tortillas in a skillet until pliable. Spoon filling onto each tortilla and roll tightly.
- Heat oil in a pan over medium-high heat. Fry taquitos seam-side down until golden brown on all sides (3-4 minutes per side).
- Serve hot with salsa and sour cream.
